Third coin in series, the entire Florence Cathedral fresco is entirely depicted on the octagonal shaped Nano Chip embedded in the coin. Onto the size of a finger nail a very high resolution image is engraved with the technology of microelectronics on an ultra-planar Nano Chip, produced in a dust free environment out of high purity quartz in extreme vacuum. Design
The octagonal shaped chip depicts the fresco of Duomo di Firenze ceiling, Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower, the main church of Florence, Italy. The Last Judgment is Vasari’s fresco begun in 1568, and completed by Federico Zuccaro in 1579.
When the past joins the future: the fresco is entirely depicted on the Nano Chip embedded in the coin, realized with a cutting-edge technology able to reproduce all details visible in full with a microscope.
The antique finish and the high relief with ultra high details complete this masterpiece and make this coin unique.
The coins are issued as legal tender in Cook Islands. The obverse of each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
